SHIP IN - SHIP OUT!
So, Hey! We just docked in Fort Lauderdale. This is the last stop of this half of the cruise. In reality, this is a LONG cruise with four legs. The original repositioning cruise started in Milwaukee to Toronto to Fort Lauderdale to Santiago to Antarctica. We joined up in Toronto and are disembarking in Santiago. It has been so fun so far! As mentioned earlier, this is an Expedition Cruise with many scientists aboard and lots and lots of learning opportunities! Fort Lauderdale stop is change-over day! 300 passengers off and 300 passengers on! 40 remained. We are part of the 40!
Here is the Farewell Reception from the crew. (Not for us, though, because we’re not getting off!)
Here’s some photos of our Port in Fort Lauderdale.
Not much happened today. There were a couple excursions available for the 40 of us, but Mark and I didn’t go because we have a special friend joining us today!
Allison, who we met on the World Cruise joined us for lunch and a tour of the ship. It was so wonderful to see her! We missed her husband Geoff, though!
After our wonderful visit, we set sail to Cozumel! Here’s some photos of the beautiful rainbow as we sailed away!
