ODE TO ZOE
September already and I am blogging again! Before I start blogging about my current life, I have to go in the past a bit. There were a couple happenings during the summer that I want to write about. First and foremost is an ode to our beloved pet, ZOE. We had to put her to sleep in late June. Zoe was 15 years old and gave us much joy! We got her as a puppy from a breeder in California that specialized in Australian Labradoodles. Zoe actually arrived to us via plane from California. We went to O’Hare to claim that sweet puppy. We didn’t even know that a pet could fly unaccompanied. Zoe was a pretty little doggie and so smart. We would watch her figuring things out like learning to open doors, go around a chair or something to free herself if her leash was tangled (we used the term “go around” and she did!), and learning how to manipulate us to give her unearned treats!
