ICELAND
WELCOME TO ICELAND! Our first stop on this current journey was a trip to Reykjavik, Iceland. This was a pre-cruise option that accompanied our British Isles Cruise. We flew out of Savannah to Chicago and then to Reykjavik. It was so exciting to arrive in Iceland! It was a place that I never thought I would ever visit and it was wonderful! We were greeted at the airport by a Viking Rep (no kidding around - Viking takes care of you) and transported to our hotel which was located near the central part of town. Mark was not happy with our hotel because it was small and a bit away from the bustling area, but I thought it was fine and had a bit of European charm to it. We settled into our very small room, took a nap and then walked around the town for most of the afternoon before calling it a day. Actually, it turned out to be a marvelous day!
