FANTASY FOOTBALL

I play FANTASY FOOTBALL!  I have played for years!  My son started a family league in 2015 and at that time I knew nothing about football.  My team name was the “Buffalo Barbs”.  (It still is, I’m still on that league.). I selected all of my players based on who had a cool name.  That was the year that Cam Newton became the number one quarterback.  I had Cam on my team - Cam is a pretty cool name isn’t it?  I didn’t win the league that year, but did really well!  The next year, I did win it!  I learned a lot!

I do know more about football now and am currently playing on three leagues.  I don’t do a lot of research and still use women’s intuition as my main source of team management.  We just finished the drafts for this season’s teams, but before I think too much about that, I need to BRAG, because this may NEVER happen again!

Last season, I only played on one league which is our neighborhood league.  There were ten of us playing including my husband, Mark, who is really good and comes in first or second frequently!  This time he didn’t - I DID!  The interesting thing about that is that he is the commissioner of the league and had an odd number of players and needed an additional person on the league to make it even.  He asked me to play and I agreed, but with the caveat that I wasn’t going to put much effort into it.  And I DIDN’T!  I selected the name “Tiki Barbie” (cute name, eh?) and drafted my team using only women’s intuition.  I selected a great team and was lucky because I had very few injuries throughout the season and my great team stayed GREAT!  So, Women’s Intuition and LOTS OF LUCK landed me the win!

Here’s why I’m blogging about this.  I need to brag!  Not only did I win the league, I also had the most points and won the tournament!  I WON IT ALL!  I need to mention this now, because this season, I will probably be at the bottom of the pile!  I need to show off my traveling trophies while I have them!

My winnings?  Of course, I spent them on Garden Statues, that’s  pretty typical for a Fantasy Football Champion, right?  The KEYWORD here is FANTASY!
