NULL ISLAND

Have you ever heard of Null Island?  I hadn’t until yesterday when it was announced that our ship would be arriving there!  Actually it is not an island at all but the one place on our earth where the longitude and latitude lines intersect at “0 0”.  It is in the Atlantic on the western side of Africa.  The ocean depth on Null Island is 15,000 feet deep.

We arrived there yesterday morning at seven am.  Our ship made a party of it!  The ship went in circles for a half an hour as we watched a whale spout and enjoyed the beautiful Atlantic Ocean.  We also enjoyed Donuts (round, get it?) and Bloody Mary’s!  Another special event by Viking!

By the way, we hear that there are Timeshares and VRBO Rentals available for Null Island! Mmmmm…..
