OPEN

“Sometimes, we unknowingly limit ourselves, staying within barriers that no longer serve us. This image serves as a powerful metaphor for how we can feel 'stuck' despite having the freedom to move forward. It's a reminder to step back, reassess, and realize that the gate is open and the path to growth is ours to take.”

For the last couple years a “trend” at the beginning of a new year is to choose a word, a mantra per se, to become your guide for that year.  This concept replaces a New Year’s resolution.  I have never done this and instead chose to make a resolution that I never ended up keeping!  Ha!

I noticed this photo on a Facebook page and it and the word OPEN struck me.  I decided that word needs to be my word for 2025.
OPEN to new ideas
OPEN mind
OPEN heart
OPEN arms
OPEN book
OPEN market
OPEN a can of worms
The list is endless……

OPEN.

So as I embark on our new, big adventure, I plan to focus on my new word.  Let’s hope this one lasts longer than any of my resolutions did!

Busy day today finalizing for our trip.  We leave for LA in the morning!  4:30 am!  Then on Sunday we board the Viking Sky for a cruise around the world.  Today we drove over to Brunswick, Georgia for the last of our immunizations.  Japanese Encephalitis immunization needed two doses and this was our last one.  It was amazing how many shots we need for this trip.  All the planning has taken a lot of time, but now we are ready!  Bags are packed and sitting by the front door.

We are going to miss our little doggies, but my sister, Sue, is staying with them.  I know that she will take great care of them.  So great, in fact that they will forget all about us while we’re gone!  That’s a good thing, I think!

Heading to bed early tonight and then OPENING my eyes early to go around that gate to begin our adventure. So excited!
