WHAT DAY IS IT?

WHAT DAY IS IT?  Friday, January 17, Thursday, January 16, Saturday, January 18?

We cross over many time zones on this journey but apparently while passing over the equator, we are also zig zagging through “day zones” (for lack of a better word - I made that up!). I didn’t know there was such a thing!  I learned about this imaginary date line from another blogger.  There are three other bloggers on the ship who have been blogging for years and are so good at picking up things that I’m missing.  I read their posts everyday and I am learning a lot from them!  (sometimes I copy their ideas…..). This is a work in progress………..

Today is another Sea Day on our way to Papeete.  We arrive there tomorrow morning.  Still going there for our “medical emergency”, but the itinerary has been changed again and Bora Bora is back on!  Happy about that and praying for our passenger who is ill.

Today’s post will be brief and picture heavy.  WiFi on the ship is spotty and creating a post is sometimes time consuming for me.  It’s a busy day - so far I have attended a lecture by Mick Dawson.  He and his friend were the first and only persons who rowed across the Pacific Ocean from Japan to San Francisco.  Amazing story.  It took 6 months.  I can’t imagine!  I just finished lunch, attending another photography workshop at 3:15 pm, Port Talk at 4:30 pm, Dinner, Lecture about Paul Gauguin at 7:30 pm, and then a show featuring Terrell Edwards at 8:45 pm.  Whew!

I want to share some photos of our fabulous dinner last night.  The World Cafe featured a “Surf and Turf Station” AND a Dessert Station featuring Bananas Foster, Cherry Jubilee and Crepe Suzette”!  So good!  Tony, the pastry chef also created the gorgeous sculptures made entirely of sugar!  Wow, just WOW!  Enjoy!

What Day is it?  IT’S TODAY!
Bon Appetit!
