TIS THE SEASON
Christmas is now here and it’s amazing how it arrived so quickly! Of course when one is away from home for half of the year, the holidays do sneak up on you without much time to prepare. Christmas is quiet for us this year. Our family gets together every other year at Christmas time and unfortunately for us, this is not our year! Our children and grandchildren are spending their Christmas with their other grandparents. I suppose it is only fair that we share them! Actually our holiday has been fine! We drove to our daughters’s home in Charlotte a couple of weeks ago and was able to spend time with Emily and her family. Since that time we have decorated the house to the hilt and bought lots of gifts for each other to put under the tree. Some of the gifts were nice and some were silly!
